Prompts - Creating Prompts
Step-by-step guide to creating effective monitoring prompts
Prerequisites
- Brand profile created and configured
- Brand aliases set up
- Understanding of your monitoring goals
Creating Your First Prompt
Navigate to Prompts
- Click Prompts in the main navigation
- Click "Create Prompt" or "+ New Prompt" button
- The prompt creation form will open
Fill in Prompt Details
1. Prompt Content (Required)
Enter the query you want to monitor:
Good examples:
- "What are the best CRM tools for small businesses?"
- "How to choose an email marketing platform"
- "Salesforce vs HubSpot comparison 2025"
Tips:
- Write natural questions as users would ask them
- Be specific enough to get relevant results
- Match actual search intent
- Keep under 200 characters for best results
2. Select AI Providers (Required)
Choose which platforms to query:
- ChatGPT (GPT-4) - Most popular, broad coverage
- Perplexity - Research-focused, cited sources
- Claude - Detailed, nuanced responses
- Gemini - Google's AI, web-integrated
Cost consideration: Each provider selected = 1x multiplier on credit usage
Recommendation:
- Start with 1-2 providers
- Add more as you validate value
3. Geographic Locations
Select where the prompt should execute from:
- Global (default) - Non-localized results
- United States - US-specific results
- United Kingdom - UK-specific results
- Canada - Canadian results
- Australia - Australian results
- And more...
Cost consideration: Each geo-location = 1x multiplier on credit usage
Example credit calculation:
- 2 providers × 3 geo-locations = 6 credits per run
- Daily frequency = 6 × 30 = 180 credits/month
4. Execution Frequency (Required)
Choose how often the prompt runs:
- Daily - Every day (recommended for high-priority)
- Every Other Day - Alternating days
- Weekly - Once per week
- Biweekly - Every two weeks
- Monthly - Once per month
The system automatically schedules the next run
5. Additional Settings (Optional)
Category: Organize prompts by topic:
- Brand Awareness
- Competitor Analysis
- Product Features
- Industry Trends
- Custom categories
Tags: Add keywords for filtering:
- industry, competitor-name, campaign-name
- product-feature, seasonal, high-priority
Language: Default is English (EN), more languages coming soon
6. Prompt Intent (Optional)
Help categorize the query type:
- Informational - Seeking knowledge
- Navigational - Looking for specific brand/site
- Transactional - Ready to take action
- Commercial - Researching before purchase

Troubleshooting
Brand Not Detected
Issue: Prompt runs but brand not found in results
Solutions:
- Add more brand aliases
- Try more specific prompts where you should appear
- Check if prompt is relevant to your brand
- Review actual AI responses for context
High Credit Usage
Issue: Running out of credits quickly
Solutions:
- Reduce number of providers (start with 1-2)
- Use Global geo instead of multiple regions
- Decrease frequency (weekly instead of daily)
- Pause low-performing prompts
- Use prompt groups to batch execution
Prompt Not Running
Issue: Scheduled prompt isn't executing
Solutions:
- Verify prompt is set to "Active"
- Check
nextRuntime hasn't passed - Ensure organization has available credits
- Check for system alerts or notifications
Inconsistent Results
Issue: Same prompt gives different results
Solutions:
- This is normal - AI responses vary
- Look at trends over time, not individual runs
- AI platforms update their models
- Results reflect real-time web changes
