Prerequisites

- Dashboard → "Create New Brand" button
- Settings → Brand → "Add Brand" button
Configure Brand Details
Brand Name (Required)
- Enter your official brand name
- Example: "Geosaur", "Acme Corp", "TechStartup"
- This is the primary name used for detection
Brand Domain (Optional)
- Your company website
- Example: "geosaur.com", "acmecorp.io"

- Relevant industry keywords and topics
- Helps with prompt suggestions
- Example: "AI search analytics", "GEO monitoring", "brand visibility"
Default Geo-Location (Optional)
- Choose where your prompts should execute from
- Options: Global, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, etc.
- Can be overridden per prompt
Step 2: Add Brand Aliases
Brand aliases help the system detect variations of your brand name in AI responses.
Why Aliases Matter
AI platforms might mention your brand using:
- Abbreviations: "AWS" instead of "Amazon Web Services"
- Variations: "McDonald's" vs "McDonalds"
- Nicknames: "Big Blue" for IBM
- Common misspellings: "Geosaur" vs "GeoSaur"
Adding Aliases
- Go to Settings → Brand → Aliases section
- Click "Add Alias"
- Enter the variation
- Select alias type:
- Official - Official alternative names
- Abbreviation - Shortened versions
- Nickname - Common nicknames
- Variation - Spelling variations
- Misspelling - Common typos
- Click "Save"
Best Practices for Aliases
- Add all common variations of your brand name
- Include both singular and plural forms
- Add abbreviations if commonly used
- Consider international variations
- Start with 3-5 essential aliases, add more as needed
Step 3: Set Your Default Settings
Notifications
Configure how you want to receive updates:
- Slack notifications - Enable if you've installed the Slack app
- Slack channel - Choose where reports should be posted
- Alert preferences - Set thresholds for important changes
Monitoring Preferences
- Active status - Enable/disable monitoring for this brand
- Priority level - Set execution priority (1-10)
- Timezone - Your preferred timezone for scheduling
Step 4: Verify Your Setup
Before creating prompts, verify your brand profile:
✅ Brand name is correct and complete ✅ At least 3-5 aliases configured ✅ Default geo-location matches your target market ✅ Notification settings configured ✅ Brand status is active
What Happens Next?
Once your brand profile is created:
- Create prompts - Define queries to monitor
- Add competitors - Set up competitive tracking
- Schedule runs - Choose execution frequency
- Monitor results - View data in your dashboard
Common Issues
Brand not being detected
